Editorial Design & Branding
Utazó Magazine is the oldest travel & lifestyle magazine in Hungary. I chose to redesign the branding and layout of this editorial as my final project in the University of West Hungary.
In the logo I changed the accent of the letter ó to a degree symbol, this way creating a mark that represents degree zero and the idea that the magazine is a starting point in the reader's journey.
The inspiration for the layout design comes from old paper maps. This reference is visible on the typography of title pages, page numbering and on a few small icons that show when an article continues on the next page or when it is finished.
